Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

So with Hetalia Beautiful World coming out soon, I am highly curious to see what everyone's thoughts and opinions are. Obviously, many of us are probably very excited for a new season to be released. And I am too!

Though, I think it's going to take time for me to like the new animation style. Don't get me wrong. The art is very pretty, as poster art. As animation, it looks kinda...off? Idk, this is just me but I wasn't awestruck by it or flipped out like I was kind of hoping to. And while I'm very accepting of new things and change, I find myself clinging to the old animation more. I feel rather close-minded about it hah. But like, even though there were errors and it wasn't perfect, thats what made it fit for me. And it just /looked/ like that animation style I'm so used to seeing. I kind of wish it didn't change. but thats just my opinion. Still want to watch it when it comes out, obviously.

So, how about your opinions then?

Yeah. I'm with you on that. Because it really /does/ look more like Hima's style and all, but I think it looks better as poster art rather than animation. (I'm really not so fond of how they did America's hair though.)
But hey, more Hetalia is always a good, right?
